Over the last 6 months I have focused on rebuilding the majority of the backend code that deals with calculating parts reuse between sets (i.e. the main reason behind Rebrickable!). I am happy, and quite a bit relieved, to finally announce that this new functionality is now live and I am going to go ahead and call it v2 :)

I've been looking at options for a forum for ages but didn't find anything I liked 100%. However, the time has come to "just pick one already!" and so Rebrickable now has a Forum section :) The existing comments on Rebrickable are great for specific sets or parts, but lack the flexibility of a general discussion forum.

I get a lot of emails asking about the images I use for the parts on the site. I also get a lot of people trying to download all the images via automated tools which can hurt performance of the site for everyone. I've come up with a solution that I hope addresses both points!

Here's a new feature that I think will come in extremely handy. The new Compare Sets page (under the Sets menu) lets you pick two sets and see which parts they have in common and which parts from each set are unique.
