Select All button in Export parts > Bricklink XML
DubbelDrank_NL replied to DubbelDrank_NL's question in Suggestions
It's a general issue, on tablets anyway. Here is an example of what I mean should be implemented: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex11/selectform.htm -
Select All button in Export parts > Bricklink XML
DubbelDrank_NL replied to DubbelDrank_NL's question in Suggestions
No because A. selecting text doensn't work in the window with the selectable text. While select/scrolling you loose focus. B. The "select all" does not appear while longpressing. -
Select All button in Export parts > Bricklink XML

Like I said... selecting all text doesn’t work on my iPad -
DubbelDrank_NL started following Question about partnr 44510, Export parts to BSX results in [null] error on Bricklink, Select All button in Export parts > Bricklink XML and and 1 other
-
So... I don’t know if this is a Rebrickable issue or a Bricklink one, but when I export all my parts to a BSX-file, I cannot import it in Bricklink. The result is an error: a big red bar saying “null”. That probably means that the BSX-file is empty? Filesize is about 100kB though. Exported on an iPad, file saved on iCloud. brickstore_parts.bsx

It would be nice to have a [Select All] button in the pop up window when you export your parts to the Bricklink XML format. In the popup window you can select/copy the output, but selecting all text doesn’t work on my iPad. I tried several browsers.

When I export an inventory to HTML grid, everything but the images appear: borders, partnumber, quantity, price and (axle) length. The "Export to HTML Table" function works properly. Untitled 1.bmp

Search for sets that contain a combination of parts
DubbelDrank_NL replied to DubbelDrank_NL's question in Suggestions
That sounds like a good option, but somehow I get weird results. I made a custom search list with only 2 parts: 6574 and 6571 In My LEGO > Part Lists - Untick alle part lists but the special one In Build > Change Build Options - Set Part color sensitivity to Ignore - Tick Ignore printed, mold variations and alternate parts - Tick Excluse minifigs and stickers - Filter Theme = Technic - No of parts 0 to inf - Year of release 1975 to 2018 - Tick Include Official Sets - Untick B-models and Accessory packs - Untick MOCs - Untick Non-buildable - Sort by Fewest Missing Parts (I tried all options) - Untick Include ... in My Sets - Tick Incluse 2 parts in My Parts > Find Sets you can Build! All kinds of sets come up, including those who do not even have the 2 parts in the inventory, but not the ones with those 2 parts. -
I would like the ability to search for sets that contain a specific collection of parts. You can now search for a partnumber and see what sets contain that one part, but if you need a specific combination of expensive parts, it sometimes is cheaper to buy a (small) set containing those parts. For example a suspension/steering-combination of: 2x #6571 steering arms 4x #6572 knuckle arms 2x 76138 shock absorbers 1x #6574 small gear rack cost about €20,- on Bricklink. In that case the set 8048 Nitro Buggy - which contains all those parts - and costs about €20 second hand, is then relatively cheaper because you also get a lot of extra parts "for free".

As far as I can see, this particular baseplate is the only one with this feature. You are right when it comes to the left pit/well. That is seen in more bp’s.
-
No, only the red arrow and circle are mine. I think @biodreamer also thought I was talking about the left square hole. That left hole is sometimes used as a well (in Friends themed sets).
-
Yes, I can. It’s the square at sea level on the right.
-
Does anybody know why there is space for a 2*2 plate at the bottom on the right side of this baseplate? I cannot recall a single set in which this is actually used. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=44510pb04#T=P&C=35

Alternative builds > colorcodes for number of parts
DubbelDrank_NL replied to DubbelDrank_NL's question in Suggestions
This is a great functionality indeed By comparing the Alternative build (MOC) and the original model, you get an overview of the needed additional pieces. https://rebrickable.com/sets/compare/?1-set=MOC-0308&1-inv=2340&1-user_list=&2-set=8297-1&2-inv=5033&2-user_list= Export parts > HTML > Print page as pdf and ready you are -
Alternative builds > colorcodes for number of parts
DubbelDrank_NL replied to DubbelDrank_NL's question in Suggestions
Yes, the Missing parts-function gives me the pieces that I have to buy, but not the parts I have to use from other sets I own. The Find parts-functions gives me an overview of the needed amounts of each brick, combined with the amount of that element in each set that I own. So not the amount that I need from those sets. I still have to juggle the numbers. My suggestion gives me the numbers that I need straight away. -
Alternative builds > colorcodes for number of parts

Technically they are modifications, but I see your point. I will edit the post. (Cannot be done...) Nevertheless there are for example Technic models with modifications listed under the Alternative builds-tab. https://rebrickable.com/sets/42009-1/mobile-crane-mk-ii/#alt_builds
