The "Blue Wonder":

The Mercedes-Benz Rennabteilung - also known by its nickname: the “Blue Wonder” - racing car carrier was built in 1954 to serve as a high-speed transporter. It was seven meters long, almost two meters wide and high and built with the engine from a 300 SL sports car. With its load the racing car carrier reached a top speed of up to 170 km/h and it became the world’s fastest transporter.
Due to the innovative and elegant transport solution, its unique body and the royal-blue paintwork the admiration for the Blue Wonder was often greater than for the racing car itself.

The model features:
Opening doors (after removing side windows).
Rails of the loading ramp are removable and mountable.

300 SL:

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was produced from 1954 to 1957 with the legendary gullwing doors.
The 300 refers to its engine displacement of 3000 cc and the SL to the german word 'Super-Leicht' (Super-Light). Its maximum speed is 260 km/h (162 mph). In 1999 it was voted the "sports car of the century"
